TelePacific adds wireless to service portfolio
took another step towards positioning itself as a total telecommunications provider for SMB
customers desiring to bundle their data, wireline and wireless services. TelePacific's initial mobile products include data cards and Novatel's MiFi
hotspot device. The MiFi device allows customers to connect up to five devices to the Internet, and can also be used as a wireless-based back-up Internet access source in cases where their primary wireline connection fails. Additionally, TelePacific offers a Motorola cell phone and BlackBerry smartphones, including the BlackBerry Curve 8330. Bundling
services enables customers to manage their telecommunications services using TelePacific's OneCentral billing portal. And, while the idea of CLECs offering mobile services makes sense to maintain customer stickiness, TelePacific is one of just a few CLECs adding wireless services to their portfolio.
