AboveNet announces Chicago Metro High Bandwidth Routes
AboveNet has announced that it will soon offer new high bandwidth fiber routes between downtown Chicago and several of its western suburban business centers. These new fiber optic express routes will be one of lowest latency, and shortest path fiber routes bypassing over 23 fiber miles of the current metro network, in the Chicago metropolitan area. The new routes will be of particular benefit for enterprise and financial entities requiring low latency connectivity, or are planning disk mirroring or data replication to satellite facilities in the western metro. Project completion is expected in Q3 2011.
