XO Achieves Metro Ethernet Forum Certifications
Today, XO Communications, delivering advanced communications services and solutions for business, government, carriers and other service providers, has announced the following XO Ethernet services have earned MEF 9 and MEF 14 certifications from the Metro Ethernet Forum:
The MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) is a global industry alliance of over 180 network operators, vendors and network component suppliers, and the MEF certification program establishes service quality standards, validating services and components based on independent and streamlined testing processes.
XO is The XO Ethernet services portfolio includes:
  • XO Ethernet VPLS - A multipoint-to-multipoint Ethernet WAN solution affording customers the ease of use of Ethernet including the resiliency of MPLS technology in order to support mission critical, highly-secure applications and multi-site connectivity.
