XO Communications has announced expanded metro network service coverage in Phoenix. This latet initiative aims to fulfill XO Communications' strategy to expand its
IP-based presence in existing markets. The expansion provides direct access to 200 additional buildings, new points
of presence (POPS), and over 130 route miles across the eastern metropolitan area of
Phoenix,
Chandler,
Gilbert and
Mesa. Also, XO
® has also deployed
Ethernet over copper (
EoC) more broadly in Phoenix as a scalable, high-speed
Ethernet access in the last mile. As a result, XO
® is now able to serve thousands of new businesses, offering a competitive alternative for their communications and networking needs. The total XO
® network now spans over 19,000 total miles nationwide.
