PAETEC adds to Colocation, Cloud Computing capabilities
PAETEC is celebrating the grand opening of its Milwaukee data center today, and will offer colocation for enterprise businesses throughout the Midwest including Chicago, Madison, St. Louis, Minneapolis and St. Paul. The new data center, located in downtown Milwaukee, will provide customers with a secure facility for their critical data, networking, and communications infrastructure, including space, power, full and half cabinets with isolated circuits, shared web hosting, data backup and recovery, and connectivity to private networks and the Internet. In addition, PAETEC offers personalized hosted server and storage solutions.
The new data center comprised of approximately 3,000 square feet is supported by a 24x7 Technical Assistance Center (TAC), has connections to 1,200 amps of incoming power, is backed up by a Detroit Diesel 800-kilowatt generator, and has 120 tons of cooling capacity. The Milwaukee center joins existing PAETEC data management facilities in Bethlehem and Conshohocken Pennsylvania, Andover Massachusetts, and Houston Texas. A future center in Phoenix is in the planning stages for 2011.
