Fixed wireless or FW is a point to point or P2P method of establishing communications between two endpoints using fixed or stationary, radio or microwave type devices or technologies, and an alternative to leased line, wired, copper, fiber or satellite based connections. Typically, commercial fixed wireless communications operate within a licensed frequency bandwidth to provide higher connection speeds and ensure quality of service or QoS, but alternatively, may operate in an unlicensed radio spectrum including 900 MHz, 1.8GHz, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
