Ethernet Line Services (ELS), or E-Line, is a point to point (P2P) Ethernet service as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), providing a P2P Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVC) between two (2) sites or subscribers and having common service attributes including the physical interface, traffic and peformance parameters, Service Frame delivery, Virtual LAN (VLAN) tag support, service multiplexing, bundling and security filter attributes.
